A Tribute To Veterans

In Vietnam, Korea and World Wars Past
Our Men Fought Bravely so Freedom Would Last
Conditions Where Not Always The Best They Could Be
Fighting a Foe You Could Not Always See:

From Mountain Highs to Valley Lows
From Jungle Drops to Desert Patrols

Our Sinewy Sons Were Sent Over Seas
Far From Their Families And Far From Their Dreams
They Never Wrote Letters Of Hardships Despair
Only Of Love, Yearning That One Day Soon:

They Would Come Home, They Would Resume
And Carry On With The Rest of Their Lives

The P.O.W.'s Stood Steadfast
Against the Indignities And Cruelties Of War
They Could Not Have Lasted as Long as They Did
If They Had Relinquished Their Hope That Some Day:

They Would Come Home, They Would Resume
And Carry On the Rest Of Their Lives

Medics, Nurses, and Chaplains Alike
Did What They Needed To Bring Back Life
They Served Our Forces From Day Into Night
Not Questioning If They Would Survive:

They Mended Bones And Bodies Too,
They Soothed the Spirits of Dying Souls

And for Those M.I.A's, Who Were Left Behind
We Echo This Message Across the Seas
We Will search For as Long As It Takes
You're Not Forgotten And Will Always Be:

In Our Hearts, In Our Prayers,
In Our Minds For All Time

A Moment of Silence, a Moment of Summons
Is Their Deliverance of Body And Soul
To a Sacred Place That We All Know
Deep In the Shrines of Our Soul:

In Our Hearts, In Our Prayers
In Our Minds For All Time

      GOLD STAR MOTHERS GRIEVE: ENDLESSLY,
      ENDLESSLY, ENDLESSLY.......

These Immortalized Soldiers Whose Bravery Abounds
They're Our Husbands, Fathers, and Sons
They Enlisted For the Duty at Hand
To Serve the Cause of Country and Land:

They Had Honor, They Had Valor,
They Found Glory That Change Them Forever

Men Standing Tall and Proud They be
A Country Behind Them in a Solemn Sea
So Let the Flags of Freedom Fly
Unfurled in Their Majesty High:

In the Sun, In the Rain
In the Winds Across This Land

Years of Tears Has Brought Us Here
Gathering Around to Hear This Sound
So Let the Flags of Freedom Fly
Unfurled in Their Majesty High:

In the Sun, In the Rain,
In the Winds Across This Land

In honor of Veterans Day

When The Troops Comes Marching Home Again
(When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again)

Hurrah! Hurrah!
We'll give them a hearty welcome then
Hurrah! Hurrah!
The men will cheer and the boys will shout
The ladies they will all turn out
And we'll all feel gay,
When the troops comes marching home.
The old church bell will peal with joy
Hurrah! Hurrah!
To welcome home our darling boy
Hurrah! Hurrah!
The village lads and lassies say
With roses they will strew the way,
And we'll all feel gay
When the troops comes marching home.
Get ready for the Jubilee,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
We'll give the hero three times three,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
The laurel wreath is ready now
To place upon his loyal brow
And we'll all feel gay
When the troops comes marching home!

How To Live A Good Life

If you want your dreams to come true...don't oversleep.
The smallest good deed is better
than the grandest intention.
Of all the things you wear,
your expression is the most important.

The best vitamin for making friends....B1.
The 10 commandments are not multiple choices.
The happiness of your life depends on
the quality of your thoughts.
Minds are like parachutes...
they function only when open.

Ideas won't work unless YOU do.
One thing you can't recycle is wasted time.
One who lacks the courage to start
has already finished.
The heaviest thing to carry is a grudge.
Don't learn safety rules by accident.
We lie the loudest when we lie to ourselves.

Jumping to conclusions can be bad exercise.
Jumping to conclusions can be bad exercise.
Once again...
Jumping to conclusions can be bad exercise.
One thing you can give and still keep ...is your word.
A friend walks in when everyone else walks out.
The pursuit of happiness is:
the chase of a lifetime!

Just For Today
(and maybe tomorrow)
Stand tall.
Start fresh.
Let go of guilt.
Don't look back.
Take an inventory.
Make amends.
Trust others.
Believe in yourself.
Discover God's love.
Appreciate your specialness.
Accept your humanness.
Ask for help.
Trust enough to take.
Have the courage to change.
Accept the unchangeable.
Be patient. Keep promises.
Bury regret. Discard hate.
Transcend self-doubt.
Don't dwell on the past.
Love each moment.
Live each day.
Build a better tomorrow.
Open your heart.
Explore your soul.
Expect the best.
Let miracles happen.
And smile!

Dog Fun

What is a Dog?
Dogs lie around all day, sprawled on the most
comfortable piece of furniture in the house.
They can hear a package of food opening half a block away,
but don't hear you when you're in the same room.
They can look dumb and lovable all at the same time.
They growl when they are not happy.
When you want to play, they want to play.
When you want to be alone, they want to play.
They are great at begging.
They will love you forever if you rub their tummies.
They leave their toys everywhere.
They do disgusting things with their mouths and
then try to give you a kiss.

Conclusion: Dogs are men in little fur coats.

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of
yourself with him and not only will he not scold you,
but he will make a fool of himself too.
Samuel Butler

One reason a dog can be such a comfort when you're
feeling blue is that he doesn't try to find out why.

Scratch a dog and you'll find a permanent job.
Franklin P. Jones

If you think dogs can't count, try putting three dog biscuits
in your pocket and then giving Fido only two of them.
Phil Pastoret

With the exception of women, there is nothing on earth
so agreeable or necessary to the comfort of man as the dog.
Edward Jesse

Dogs laugh, but they laugh with their tails.
 Max Eastman

My goal in life is to be as good of a person
my dog already thinks I am.

If dogs could talk, it would take a lot of the
fun out of owning one.

Cat Fun

What is a Cat?

Cats do what they want.

They rarely listen to you.

They're totally unpredictable.

They whine when they are not happy.

When you want to play, they want to be alone.

When you want to be alone, they want to play.

They expect you to cater to their every whim.

They're moody.

They leave hair everywhere.

They drive you nuts and cost an arm and a leg.

Conclusion: Cats are tiny women in little fur coats.
"Since each of us is blessed with only one life,
why not live it with a cat?"
Robert Stearns

"Cats are always elegant."
John Weitz

"If man could be crossed with the cat,
it would improve man but deteriorate the cat."
Mark Twain

"A cat has too much spirit to have no heart."
Ernest Menault

"You can't look at a sleeping cat and be tense."
Jane Pauley

"If there is one spot of sun spilling onto the floor,
a cat will find it and soak it up."
Joan Asper McIntosh

Thousands of years ago, cats were worshipped as gods.
Cats have never forgotten this."
Anonymous

Every dog has its day, but nights are reserved for cats."
Unknown

"One small cat changes coming home to an
empty house to coming home."
Pam Brown

Cat Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray this cushy life to keep.
I pray for toys that look like mice,
And sofa cushions, soft and nice.
I pray for gourmet kitty snacks,
And someone nice to scratch my back,
For windowsills all warm and bright,
For shadows to explore at night.
I pray I'll always stay real cool
And keep the secret feline rule
To never tell a human that
The world is really ruled by CATS!

Robert Schumann - Um gigante musical e literária

"Off chapéus, senhores, um gênio"
